Onychomycosis, or nail fungus effects 35 million people world wide.  They’re actually parasites known as dermatophytes, whose root word is Greek meaning skin plants… Uh, gross.  The dermatophytes thrive beneath below the hard toe or finger nail surface, and is extremely difficult to get rid of.  There are medical treatments available, but they can be hard on the body, specifically your liver and kidneys.
